The early Patrick Lew Band shows from a musical performance standpoint were very lackluster.
Back in the 2000s, we didn't have the budget or technology to put on what we did in the studio onstage. Let alone, musical skills and a reliable competent lineup onstage.
That technology that I use with Lewnatic to go on tour these days, the backing tracks playing through a foldback speaker connected to a running laptop. That didn't exist back the earlier years of my music career and when I used to play shows.
If PLB wanted to play the songs the way we wanted them onstage today like we did in the studio back in the early-to-mid 2000s, it wasn't feasible. No one in the band could do it literally. We needed a whole damn ensemble to do that cool shit.
Plus, I wasn't ready yet and still relatively inexperienced.
This is probably the only example I have of what the Patrick Lew Band sounded like onstage back in the year 2003! It's a terrible live performance and very lo-fi recording of it. I only put it on the PLB boxed set because of historical purposes!
