PATRICK LEW BAND (PLB) - THE HISTORY

Patrick Lew Hayashi (born Patrick Allan Lew on November 15, 1985) is an Asian-American musician and YouTuber currently performing in the band PLB (Patrick Lew Band). He is also the band's only constant member, sole singer-songwriter and guitarist alongside his younger sister Madeline. He also makes recorded appearances with the San Jose alternative rock band Crazy Loser in a Box!, and on the NorCal independent circuit, with the band Benigneglect. He's also well known as the lead guitarist and co-founding member of the San Francisco based Shoegaze band TheVerse between 2015 and 2019, and as the bassist for the Oakland based Death Metal band Pleasure Gallows during late 2018 and early 2019.

Hayashi made his indie music career debut in 2001, and played guitar and created music for various start-up bands in the Bay Area regional music scene such as Famiglia, Samurai Sorcerers, Band of Asians, all of which would later become the Patrick Lew Band (PLB) in August 2008. Upon rebranding his short-lived bands as PLB in 2008, he began performing and recording with the Patrick Lew Band locally in the East Bay region of the NorCal music scene. This lineup of PLB would record and self-release three albums together between 2008 and 2012: Let It Rise and Against (2009), Murder Bay (2011), and Angry Yellow - EP (2012). After a long period of creative, professional and personal differences within the project and a failed relationship with his former fiancee Faith, the Patrick Lew Band abruptly disbanded in 2012. After a two-year sabbatical, the Patrick Lew Band returned full-time to the music scene in early 2015 as a solo project, later introducing Hayashi's long-lost (kayfabe) younger sister Madeline Lew in the band as the bassist, occasional singer-songwriter and "virtual" band member through Photoshop, CGI and digital special effects. PLB would remain rigorously active in the NorCal regional music scene until late 2017, and earned accolades and credentials for the very first time during their second run in the rock and roll music industry.

In 2015, Patrick Lew Hayashi began branching out of PLB by participating in other musical projects. He began playing lead guitar and co-founded the San Francisco based Shoegaze/Post-Punk band TheVerse with his long-time friends from the community, sporadically touring behind TheVerse regionally between 2016 and 2019. He also briefly performed for the Oakland Death Metal trio Pleasure Gallows as their bass player. In 2018, Hayashi officially joined the San Jose/Silicon Valley based local indie-rock band Crazy Loser in a Box! as their guitarist and occasional full-time band member. After quietly departing TheVerse in mid-2019, Hayashi formed the band Benigneglect with Fil-Am rapper A. K.AYE and began performing monthly residencies at San Francisco's historic DNA Lounge.

Amidst the COVID-19 pandemic worldwide in March 2020, Hayashi (alongside Madeline Lew) returned to performing, touring and creating new content and music with Patrick Lew Band (PLB) full-time, embarking on their most profitable period as indie music artists. By mid-2020, PLB had officially reached "global" status in indie music, despite being an unsigned local band and very little to no mainstream marketing and promotion.

Having been recently regarded as prolific by some of his peers in music, which includes PLB's videographer/photographer James Conrad (also a guitarist), Baka Broadcast DJ and close friend Howard Billington, and his bandmate Madoku/Yandie from Crazy Loser in a Box!, the band PLB alongside Patrick and Madeline themselves has reached moderate popularity with audiences on social-media, characterized by their eccentric charisma/stage presence and dynamically anthemic musical abilities. PLB was inducted into the 40 Under 40 Hall of Fame at their alma mater, California State University - East Bay in 2019 for their services to local East Bay music and the Asian-American community. Outside of music, Patrick Lew Hayashi has also made an uncredited cameo appearance in an episode of the critically acclaimed Amazon TV series The Man in the High Castle, and is also a moderately known influencer on Instagram and YouTube.

BAND HISTORY:

In 2001, Patrick Lew Hayashi formed a band under the banner Patrick Lew Band in his hometown of San Francisco, CA, when he was just 15 years old. Most of Hayashi's early years in the indie music circuit was playing in a garage band. In 2005, Hayashi was attending City College of San Francisco and was briefly signed to an indie label based in La Jolla, CA. After he was dropped from his developmental contract with the label, Hayashi decided to book studio time with the help of his friends. Most of the time, Hayashi was on the Internet putting his bands music out there.

On November 15, 2006, which was also Patrick Lew Hayashi's 21st birthday, the Patrick Lew Band released their debut album JUMP, RATTLE, AND ROLL on CDBaby. Patrick Lew Band would begin to sporadically play small shows in the San Francisco area by 2007 with a frequently changing line-up. Their first single AZN GIRLS was posted online during late 2007, leading to a critical backlash among the band on social-media over unbeknownst reasons. Around this same period, the bands chiptune rearranged cover of the Nirvana song Drain You was published on Nirvanaclub.com.

During 2009, Patrick Lew Band began making their strides in the regional music scene and on the Internet. Their song Everyone Loves Ashley brought them to notoriety and initial indie-level fame. Between 2009 to 2012, the band would write and record up to as many as 60 songs per year in their home studio.

To have something to fall back on, Hayashi taught himself the fundamentals of the indie music business and being his own entrepreneur. During this period, Patrick Lew Band had aborted plans to tour locally. However, the group would perform live in the Antioch area occasionally during some of 2011. Some of these performances can be found and since leaked on Patrick Lew- Hayashi's official YouTube channel.

Between 2009 to 2012, the Patrick Lew Band self-released their music online: Let It Rise And Against (2009), Murder Bay (2011) and the EP Angry Yellow (2012). On February 4, 2012, Patrick Lew Band performed at Dolores Park in San Francisco.

After taking a few years away from the indies because of a failed common-law marriage and very well documented personal problems, Hayashi made his return to music with the Patrick Lew Band by the beginning of 2015. Embarking on his most profitable and memorable run in the indie music circuit.

2015 began with Hayashi being appointed the Ambassador for Antennas Direct. And conducting a televised interview with the 24 HOUR K-POP music TV channel in the San Francisco Bay Area. Around this same period, Patrick Lew Hayashi introduced a crossdressing M2F alter ego by the name of Madeline Lew Hayashi into the band. Created from digital special effects, CGI and Photoshop. In a music marketing storyline, Madelines role in the band is described as, the long lost younger sister of Patrick Lew, saving the band from failure and bringing his band and his music back to prominence.

Madeline Lew's introduction into the Patrick Lew Band as a virtual band member and mascot brought Patrick Lews profitability back to prominence in the music scene and helped Patrick Lew Band achieve publicity and moderate indie-level success that he did not accomplish prior to 2015. The success and exposure that the Patrick Lew Band received during this period included a couple music blogs writing about the Patrick Lew Band online and being mentioned on-air on Bay Area rock FM radio station 107.7 THE BONE. The band was mostly recording in their home studio in San Francisco. By 2016, the band launched their own label and multimedia start-up Lewnatic HQ. The band was often working on new music in their home recording studio between 2015 and early 2017. The Patrick Lew Band would release their album OAKLAND on Valentines Day 2017. He and his alter ego Madeline Lew would perform at Brick & Mortar Music Hall on October 8, 2017.

By the end of 2017, the Patrick Lew Band no longer was a full-time responsibility as Hayashi began working a stable full-time job at Chocolate Heaven Pier 39. He also began only sporadically making studio recording appearances with the band as he branched his talents to other outlets and playing music with local bands outside of Patrick Lew Band. On June 7, 2019. Patrick Lew-Hayashi received the 40 Under 40 award at his alma mater CSU East Bay. He would become the first major Japanese-American male to receive the high honor.

Outside of PLB. Hayashi has also performed, recorded and toured with other bands in the Bay Area. And made a brief uncredited cameo appearance on the acclaimed Amazon TV series Man in the High Castle on Season 4 and Episode 1. He also is a moderately known and prolific social-media influencer and persona, most notably on YouTube and Instagram.

The Patrick Lew Band made their return full-time to the music scene on March 17, 2020. And have since returned to performing, recording and creating. And embarked on their most prolific period to date as an exclusively Internet rock band. They have since self-released several new albums and EPs on Apple Music and Spotify with their vendor CDBaby. And received numerous press and credentials as indie music artists since their 2020 return.

The Life and Times of Patrick Lew Hayashi (林正道)

Masamichi Hayashi/Patrick Lew Hayashi (born Patrick Allan Lew on November 15, 1985) is an Asian-American musician and YouTuber currently performing in the band PLB (Patrick Lew Band). He is also the band's only constant member, sole singer-songwriter and guitarist alongside his younger sister Madeline. He's also well known for his work playing in the band(s) TheVerse, Benigneglect and Crazy Loser in a Box!

LIFE & MUSIC CAREER Patrick Lew was born on November 15, 1985 in San Francisco, California to a Chinese father and Japanese mother of mixed descent. He grew up in the Bay Area. His early interests were wrestling, video games and cable television programming. He became interested in rock music at an early age. He began playing guitar when his cousin Andy was living with him briefly while studying at a community college as an International Student. He took a couple guitar lessons, but is mostly self-taught as a musician. He began his indie music career in 2001 on the Northern California independent circuit as Patrick Lew Band at the young age of 15. Mostly participating in home recording and occasional live performances. By 2004, the Patrick Lew Band landed a record deal with Statue Records through their MySpace page and has earned a number of accolades for his work with PATRICK LEW BAND. Patrick attended Wallenberg High School in San Francisco and graduated in 2003. He would later attend California State University, East Bay and studied Philosophy. He graduated from college in mid-2011 with a Bachelors Degree in Philosophy. After several line-up changes and personal setbacks, the Patrick Lew Band slowly but surely gradually gained belated success in the regional music scene and on the Internet by 2016. The band's 2009 release Let It Rise and Against brought him his initial fame and notoriety in music. The Patrick Lew Band would begin to make an impact during 2016 and 2017, being mentioned on-air on the San Francisco classic rock radio station 107.7 THE BONE and winning the July 2016 Akademia Music Award for Best Rock Song with PLB. Around that same period, Patrick created a cyber band member in PLB also marketed as his fictional younger sister Madeline Lew through digital face & gender swapping apps. Madeline would join the band PLB on October 31, 2015 and has became a mainstay in the Patrick Lew Band since. Following his induction into CSU East Bay's 2019 40 Under 40 Hall of Fame, Patrick Lew Band broke up for a second time. Using Patrick Lew Band as a platform to branch his talents and his passion for playing music with other local bands. Because of that, he has also played guitar in the Shoegaze band TheVerse. Alongside temporarily being a fill-in bass player for two bands: Pleasure Gallows and The Tortured. Between 2017 and 2020 during PLB's second hiatus, Patrick has played music in a variety of local Bay Area bands and branched outside of his own primary band PLB in the scene. After PLB initially disbanded for the second time in June 2019, he eventually formed a new heavy metal and hard rock inspired solo project under the name LEWNATIC. Going "back to basics" as a performer and semi- pro musician. He quickly began playing a few low-key open mic performances in Japan by the end of the Summer. He retired the PLB name temporarily, as he began performing locally under the name "LEWNATIC." LEWNATIC has self-released a live recording of their November 3, 2019 performance at San Francisco's DNA Lounge on music streaming services. The band LEWNATIC would become monthly residents at DNA Lounge as live performers. In March 2020, LEWNATIC went on a hiatus as Patrick returned to making music and digital content with Patrick Lew Band with his sister Madeline Lew. For the next year-and- a-quarter, Patrick Lew Band was rigorously active in the indie music scene by putting out a lot of new digital content, doing live stream concerts, and using their house in San Francisco as a musical stage. The band just reached potentially prolific status with their music and brand in the indies and on social- media with what they do. Recent years proved to be very prosperous and helped the Patrick Lew Band reach new heights. Since then, the band's music has reached thousands of listeners in 34 different countries worldwide on Apple Music/iTunes. And subsequent reviews and press regarding PLB (Patrick Lew Band) has been more positive. By mid-2021 however, the Patrick Lew Band began slowing down their activity because of Patrick's 9 to 5 job at SAFEWAY. Only sporadically making appearances in the studio and in public. There's been rumors circulating about Patrick rebranding the PLB under the name LEWNATIC or even permanently retiring the "Patrick Lew Band" name. So far, these sources have been rather unclear. The future remains uncertain, but Patrick Lew insists that he will continue making music and YouTube videos with Patrick Lew Band. So far, Patrick Lew Band has released and published at least 12 full-length albums worldwide on Spotify and Apple Music. On October 8, 2021, Patrick's former girlfriend and close friend Madoku officially joined the Patrick Lew Band as a lead vocalist and full-time band member. PERSONAL LIFE & OTHER PROJECTS Outside of music, he has acted in community theater and made a cameo appearance in an episode of Emmy Award winning TV series The Man in the High Castle. He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Philosophy from California State University, East Bay and currently works a full-time day job at SAFEWAY as a Deli Operator. He has also worked in tech for three years as a visual merchandiser and has an extensive work resume outside of the indie music industry. Patrick was previously engaged from a former toxic relationship. He is currently happily single and living with his family and dogs in the Excelsior District in San Francisco. He has also dated his PLB bandmate Madeline on-and-off. He also previously dated his bandmate Yandie/Madoku from their band Crazy Loser in a Box! briefly in 2018. Patrick identifies himself as Agnostic. He is also friends with Bay Area bands Hemorage, The Tortured, The Residuals, Akai Sky, The Porno Riots and SourFlower. And he is also close friends with fellow EDM DJ Robert Pan. In mid-2021, he achieved a lifelong dream by virtually interacting with Japanese porn star Yukari Orihara via Instagram. Patrick's hobbies outside of music also include sports (mostly professional wrestling), video games, cats, commercial driving, reading and watching television.

THE PLB REBOOT

PATRICK LEW BAND (PLB) is an Asian-American rock band formed in San Francisco, California by singer, guitarist, YouTuber and multi-instrumentalist Patrick Lew Hayashi (born Patrick Allan Lew; November 15, 1985).

The band was previously known under various 'guises; and pseudonyms and was previously an online collaboration type of local band with friends before becoming the solo project of Patrick Lew. In addition to guitar and vocals, Lew plays all or most of the instruments on the records.

The band also features a virtual band member and bassist named Madeline Lew, marketed as Patrick’s younger sister in storyline. The band’s bassist Madeline was created through modern smartphone apps such as FaceApp and Reface. Alongside, other digital special effects and editing.

He is currently an unsigned independent musician but he is distributing his music through his own label  Lewnatic Records

THE HISTORY

The Patrick Lew Band was previously an sporadic online collaboration project between friends and former schoolmates. They performed under many "guises" such as Famiglia, Samurai Sorcerers, Patrick and Greg Blues Band and so forth. After a few home-recorded demo albums between 2006 to 2012, the former band talked about making their band to transition from being an online collaboration to becoming in between a live performing and home recording local rock band. However, tensions flared within the band over creative and religious differences. Lew wanted to take his band and put it out there to see where the band's music would go, whereas the other band members were uninterested in pursuing a secular area in the music business.

The idea eventually was abandoned, and Lew was dealing with a loveless relationship with his former fiancee which affected and drained him mentally. Having played in the indie scene in many failed startup bands and false starts for over a decade, Patrick Lew seemed to have lost his passion for music. When his relationship with his then-fiancee ended, Lew decided to rekindle his passion for playing music and doing home recording.

The Patrick Lew Band as we know it now started in 2015 as a home studio project where Lew would write songs or compose instrumental ideas and post them on social-media to see what comes out of it.

Having learned the hardship and frustration of getting his music out there in various platforms in the "commercial" and traditional music industry. Lew created his own indie label and named his home recording studio LEWNATIC which foresees the releases of Patrick Lew Band related material through different platforms such as digital downloads, CDs and etc etc.

Despite some of the hardships and negativity that Lew has encountered during 2015 and some of 2016, the Patrick Lew Band maintained consistency and was experiencing a very creative period in their indie music career. By July 2016, the Patrick Lew Band won an award for Best Experimental Rock Song with the Akademia Music Awards. Lew also pursued side-projects and worked with other local musicians.

Lew also began uploading funny and provocative vlogs on his YouTube and self-released a few EPs with the Patrick Lew Band through Bandcamp and other sites. Having enough music to release a full-length album regardless of what people thought of him in the past or present day. The loss of his beloved mother and a scabies scare prevented Lew from touring and promoting his new album temporarily.

But with the blessings of positive outlooks and putting himself out there. Lew began working with promoters Afton to handle the booking for live Patrick Lew Band shows locally. The Patrick Lew Band was booked to perform at the Brick & Mortar in San Francisco, California on August 6, 2017 originally. Even local hard rock radio station 107.7 THE BONE marketed the show. Low ticket sales however pushed the show to October 8th that year, which Lew performed a stunning and blistering five-song set at the venue. A recap video of the show can be found on Lew's YouTube channel.

Also, the band introduced long lost sibling Madeline Lew as a full-time member on Halloween 2015.

The band just returned to full-time status in 2020. And reached potentially prolific status with their music and brand in the indies and on social-media with what they do.

With the recent release of Patrick Lew Band's latest music Rolling Thunder through CDBaby, Spotify, Apple Music and other platforms. And Patrick Lew is currently working full-time at Safeway outside of the music and entertainment industry. But Patrick Lew Hayashi plans to accomplish more with what he is set out to do with his music!

Patrick Lew Band (PLB) is taking over!

Listeners from six continents worldwide have heard my music in PLB (Patrick Lew Band) on both Spotify and Apple Music.

Countries who've heard my band PLB range from the United States, Japan, England, Sweden, Ireland, Germany, Mexico and many more.
The only continent that's missing is Antarctica. Lol.
It's rather strange, overwhelming and yet brilliantly fascinating too. I'm just an average working-class Joe of Asian descent who happens to make music in my own bedroom in this 2-Story family house in San Francisco. And put it out there on social-media.
I live a double life. During the day, I slice meat and make sandwiches for Karen's and the cool people at the grocery store Safeway. By night, I'm pulling a Beatles from circa 1967-70 by locking myself at home. Constantly trying to make new tracks and digital content.
I'm not on MTV. I'm not on the covers of Rolling Stone magazine. And I never really perform live shows outside California typically, aside from a few dates in Japan and Hong Kong from 2 years ago!
A lot of those 30-Something countries from those six continents I've never traveled to or even stepped foot in.
Yet, it amazes me that I kind of now have a global presence with the band PLB. All because of me putting myself out there, and word of mouth online. At the same time, it overwhelms me because I never expected myself to reach this point in my music really. Because not too long ago some time back in the 2000s and early 2010s, I wasn't "ready" yet. It was still a local attraction and hobby for the most part.
Now I'm earning passive income sporadically. Because of PLB royalties. People reach out to me for interviews occasionally on YouTube. The music bloggers online even said better things about Patrick Lew Band that wouldn't have ever happened back in the year 2008 really.
But at the same time, I'm very grateful it happened and I earned it. Even at this stage of my music right now! I mean, I'm pushing 40.

The Patrick Lew Band Story

"Hello! My name is Patrick L. Hayashi. Im a 35 year old Asian-American who is born, raised and currently living in San Francisco, California. Thank you for visiting my page (e.g. YouTube, Facebook, etc etc) and taking the time to listen to my music or watching my videos. I sincerely and definitely appreciate it! I hope that you enjoy the music that I post on here. If there is anything about my work that resonates with you, whether it be the lyrics or the compositions themselves, I am truly grateful and honored that it did. I hope to connect with many musicians and listeners across the world, regardless of musical genre, race, color, creed, sexual orientation or religion. My music is Patrick Lew Band. And right now. You are reading and listening to my story on social-media."

In 2001, Patrick Lew-Hayashi formed a band under the banner Patrick Lew Band in his hometown of San Francisco, CA, when he was just 15 years old. At the time, Hayashi played guitar and occasionally sang and they had a lead guitarist named Eddie and a drummer by the name of Tommy Loi. Most of Hayashis early years in the indie music circuit was playing in a garage band mostly.

While recording a demo in a local recording studio, the band eventually came up with enough music to self-release a full-length album. On November 15, 2006, which was also Patrick Lew Hayashis 21st birthday, the Patrick Lew Band released their debut album JUMP, RATTLE, AND ROLL on CDBaby. Patrick Lew Band would begin to sporadically play small shows in the San Francisco area by 2007 with a frequently changing line-up. They originally attempted to pitch in with the post-hardcore scene, but the band did not fit in as they were considered too raw, lo- fi and unhinged. Their first single AZN GIRLS was posted online during late 2007, leading to a critical backlash among the band locally and social-media over unbeknownst reasons. Around this same period, the bands chiptune rearranged cover of the Nirvana song Drain You was published on Nirvanaclub.com. By 2008, Hayashi built a home studio and began recording demos rigorously throughout the year. However, an intense backlash over his music and public persona intensified on social-media. By this time, the band had dwindled to Hayashi and his close friend and drummer David Arceo. While attending CSU East Bay to study a B.A. in Philosophy, he rebuilt Patrick Lew Band around himself and Arceo with three of his former toxic friends Jeremy, Greg and David Hunter. The band was trying their very hardest to land a spot in the major leagues. To have something to fall back on, Hayashi taught himself the fundamentals of the indie music business and being his own entrepreneur in the digital age. During this period, Patrick Lew Band had aborted plans to tour locally. Adding more trouble to the dysfunctional garage band, they canceled an offer to perform a benefit show at UC Berkeley in Fall 2010 because of tensions within the Patrick Lew Band. However, the group would perform live in the Antioch area occasionally during some of 2011 with Hayashi and his former friend/bandmate Greg Lynch on guitar and lead vocals on stage. Some of these performances can be found and since leaked on Patrick Lew- Hayashis official YouTube channel. After taking a few years away from the music scene and indies because of a failed common-law marriage with his then-partner Faith and very well documented personal problems, Hayashi made his return to music with the Patrick Lew Band by the beginning of 2015. Embarking on their most profitable and memorable run in the indie music circuit. 2015 began with Hayashi being appointed the Ambassador for Antennas Direct. And conducting a televised interview with the 24 HOUR K-POP music TV channel in the San Francisco Bay Area. While maintaining a stabilized indie music career, Hayashi also began working traditional day jobs following his college graduation from CSU East Bay. Working numerous day jobs such as a cashier at Walgreens, a computer sales associate at Best Buy. By this time, the bands line-up had just whittled down to just Hayashi and Arceo. Around this same period, Patrick Lew-Hayashi introduced a crossdressing M2F alter ego by the name of Madeline Lew Hayashi into the band. Created from digital special effects, CGI and Photoshop. In a music marketing storyline, Madelines role in the band is described as, the long lost younger sister of Patrick Lew-Hayashi saving the band from failure and bringing his band and his music back to prominence. Madeline Lews introduction into the Patrick Lew Band as a virtual band member and mascot brought Patrick Lews profitability back to prominence in the music scene and helped Patrick Lew Band achieve publicity and moderate indie-level success that he did not accomplish prior to 2015. The bands drummer David Arceo mutually departed from the Patrick Lew Band in mid-2016 to pursue other life avenues. The success and exposure that the Patrick Lew Band received during this period included a couple music blogs writing about the Patrick Lew Band online and being mentioned on-air on Bay Area rock FM radio station 107.7 THE BONE. The band was mostly recording in their home studio in San Francisco. By 2016, the band launched their own label and multimedia start-up Promisedland. The band was often working on new music in their home recording studio between 2015 and early 2017. The Patrick Lew Band would release their album OAKLAND on Valentines Day 2017. Tragically, Hayashis beloved mother Winnie passed away on April 8, 2017. For most of the year, Hayashi laid low. He returned to the music scene as Patrick Lew Band later in the year, working with booking agents AFTON SHOWS. On March 17, 2020, Patrick Lew Hayashi shocked the world and Internet music community when he randomly announced the return of Patrick Lew Band on his Instagram and Facebook page. And furthered his intentions in the music scene amidst COVID-19 pandemic and worldwide lockdown as a result of the Coronavirus pandemic. Because of his band Benigneglects uncertainty, Hayashi didnt want to not have anything to do during the global COVID-19 pandemic. Advancements in technology and modern formats enabled the return of Patrick Lew Band and helped accommodate their music and band for their audience during Quarantine. Such as live stream concerts and a virtual fan club exclusively through PLBs main hubs online: Facebook, Twitter, IG and YouTube. The return of Patrick Lew Band involved Patrick Lew Hayashi himself and the return of his kayfabe sister Madeline in the bands lineup. Within the next couple of months, a flurry of activity followed. Patrick Lew Band made its first major appearance since their return to music by hosting a series of live stream concerts directly at Lewnatic/PLB HQ on the Covid Concert Series group on Facebook. After a dismal and lukewarm response in regards to PLB in the Covid Concert Series group on Facebook, PLB decided to revert to their YouTube channel for live stream Quarantine concerts and fresh new online content. Between April to July 2020, the band had created and uploaded at least 20 new YouTube videos on PLBs channel. The band was also busy working on new music in their home studio Lewnatic HQ in San Francisco. Rigorously practicing and creating new material. The band would release their first new music of all-new originals and not rehashes/off-cuts since 2017, a three-song EP titled PARIAH on May 1, 2020. Sister Madeline Lew was also involved in many projects outside PLB as well, including making music for a solo EP titled TO THE MOON AND BACK and making amateur JOI videos on Pornhub. During this fruitful period however, the band was not free from criticism, controversy and toxic energies. But to much of the bands relief, this thankfully did not lead to a third social-media backlash for Patrick Lew Band. As the bands circle of stans and numbers in the digital age grew rapidly and skyrocketed during this eventful period since returning. The week after, Patrick and Madeline returned to their day jobs while continuing doing music with PLB full-time. They also occasionally worked with Yandie on new material in separate home studios (SF & San Jose) for their other band Crazy Loser in a Box. On June 13, 2020, Patrick was interviewed via FaceTime with his good friend Howard Billington from the Japanese music scene for their YouTube channel The Baka Broadcast about PLB and the East Asian music scene and community. The podcast real-time interview would be posted a week later worldwide online. During the month of July 2020, Patrick Lew Band was featured on four prolific different music blogs on the Internet. All thanks to the music marketing services with the right middlemen on Fivver app. Currently. PLB is hard at work on some new music and continuing to do their thang in the indie music scene and as prolific online content creators. Theres really only more to come!

STAY TUNED!
